The next exciting chapter of Blackheath & Bromley Harriers has moved a step closer with the approval of the planning application for redevelopment of the Club’s Bourne Way clubhouse site, allowing us to complete its sale and commence construction of a new sports centre at the Norman Park track later this year. This is a significant step towards bringing all the club activities together at the Norman Park track. In the words of Alan Pickering, our chairman, “The move to Norman Park will bring together all members of Blackheath & Bromley Harriers from all generations in a single place. It will secure the club’s future and the future of the Norman Park track. The new sports centre will provide much improved facilities”.

It is anticipated that we will vacate the Bourne Way clubhouse by the end of July and work on the new facility at Norman Park should start in August/September. During construction the track will remain open and temporary facilities will be provided. Wednesday nighters will run from Beccehamian RFC’s clubhouse at Sparrow’s Den during the construction period. The new centre should be completed early Summer 2022!

We will keep you updated and provide further details as soon as we can.

Our fundraising campaign for the project is ongoing and we would like to take this opportunity to thank club members who have so far donated towards the cost of the new facility. To date you have raised just over £180,000! All further donations (in whatever amount) are welcomed! (Contact for details).
