Saturday 23rd March 2024 marked this years AGM. This year we took the opportunity to incorporate our Club 5 mile, Olympic year celebrations and Olympic year club photo with the AGM and recognition awards.
We began our day with a large number of attendees in the club 5 mile, commencing at 1:30pm. We then had a record breaking number of members attending the Olympic year photo. Many athletes then stayed on to hear the recognition awards and through the AGM. Those who stayed also received an exclusive message from, club and Olympic sprinter, Adam Gemili as a thank you for their attendance.
This years awards focused not only on performance but contribution to the club. Congratulations to the following:
- Daisy Snell (junior female athlete of the year)
- Joseph Scanes (junior male athlete of the year)
- Niamh Bridson-Hubbard (senior female athlete of the year)
- Sam Reardon (senior male athlete of the year)
- Ashley Pearson (official of the year)
- Paul and Claire Austridge (volunteer[s] of the year)
Our retiring president, John Hubbard, then named his choice of club president for 2024/25 as Ashley Pearson! Congratulations to Ashley on her selection!
John also selected 2 new VPs in Montell Douglas and B. Simpson!
