Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our members at the Kent County Athletics Association (KCAA) President’s Awards Dinner. The event, which recognises excellence across athletics in the county, saw four of our own receive top honours:

Senior Male Athlete of the Year: Sam Reardon
Senior Female Athlete of the Year: Divine Oladipo
Junior Male Athlete of the Year: Daniel Goriola
Coach of the Year: Alex Pope
These awards are a reflection of the remarkable accomplishments of our athletes and coaches in 2024. Sam’s recognition comes in celebration of his incredible performance at the Olympics, where he won two bronze medals, an achievement that has inspired countless athletes at our club and beyond.

Divine’s award acknowledges her outstanding season in the shot put, where she was ranked 5th in the UK this year – a testament to her hard work, skill, and consistency at the highest level of competition.

Daniel’s accolade follows a phenomenal year, which included representing Great Britain at the U20 World Championships and clinching the senior national title in the 110m hurdles – a tremendous feat for such a young talent.

Alex’s award as Coach of the Year is richly deserved, recognising his pivotal role in guiding athletes to exceptional performances. Under his coaching, numerous club and county records have been broken this year, showcasing his expertise and dedication to athlete development.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the KCAA for acknowledging the hard work and achievements of Sam, Divine, Daniel, and Alex. A special thank you to KCAA President Andrew Scoones for his continued support of athletics in the county and for championing these awards, which inspire and celebrate excellence in our sport.

Congratulations to Sam, Divine, Daniel, and Alex on these well-deserved awards, and thank you for continuing to exemplify the spirit and excellence of our club.
