Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC is a welcoming and inclusive club that caters for all ages, abilities and interests. We have a thriving junior section, ranging from our Bees Academy through to our successful Junior age group teams. Our Senior and Vets teams compete across a very wide range of distances and events and we have a social training night every Wednesday night at the club house, with groups training at a range of paces to suit everyone.

Can anyone join Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletics Club?
Yes. There is no minimum standard for joining the club or previous experience of athletics required. We welcome those that are new to athletics or experienced athletes wanting to train with and compete for one of the premier clubs in the UK.
My child is in reception, can they join the club?

The Bees Academy is a coaching initiative designed specifically for children in school years Reception up to and including Year 9, to encourage their participation in sport and to develop their athletic potential to the best of their ability. Bees Academy link. For 2021, anyone born on or before 1st September 2008 may join Blackheath & Bromley and is eligible to compete for us.

What does my membership entitle me to?
  • Being able to compete for the club in Local, Regional and National competitions.
  • Access to high quality training opportunities and coaches.
  • Being part of one of the most successful clubs in the UK.
  • Making new friends and being part of a wider social circle.
  • Activities include track, field, cross country, road running and race walking.
Do I have to pay the track fee each time I train at Norman Park even though I am a member?
Yes. The track is not owned by BBHAC. Please see for more information
Does all of my membership fee go to the Club?
Your membership fee is broken down into the following parts:

£15 England Athletics membership. Benefits of EA membership
£10 signing on fee

The remainder goes the club to support our activities.

Does membership include club kit?
No. Information about upcoming kit sales is publicised at Norman Park Athletics Track.
How can my child compete?
Team managers/coaches will inform athletes of upcoming events and competitions.
I am looking to run socially – does the club have social running groups?
