The second Ray Hall Memorial Winter Walks league match took place on Saturday 18th November! Blackheath and Bromley Race Walkers again took to the track to represent their club across several age groups!

Representing the U13 boys Luke Eperon came 2nd in his 2nd ever race with an improved personal best of 10:40.50 in the 1500m walk! Florence Watson came 4th for the U15 girls in her debut race for the club with a time of 15:14.50 in the 2000m walk! Both athletes have recently joined the club from the new development pathway, the B&B Athletics Academy, and found their love for the walks under the guidance of Olympian and coach Shaun Lightman. They were also extremely pleased to have the opportunity to meet Olympian Tom Bosworth at the event!

Jonathan Ellerton gained 1st place in the U20 men’s 5000m walk, achieving a time of 26:22:00 which is a new personal best. Racing in the senior men’s 5000m walk saw a 6th place finish for Jonathan’s father, Matthew Ellerton, his time of 32:04.20 was also a personal best for this distance.
