Gordon Brooks
Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC is sad to announce the passing of long-term club member, Gordon Brooks VP, father to Past President, Nick Brooks.
Gordon died on 16th May 2025 following a fall at home. Gordon was made a Vice President in 1986 and first joined the club in 1946. His father, George, was Club President in 1972 and his son, Nick, was Club President in 2017, and his grandson Peter is a 4th generation of Brooks as he too is a club member running middle and long distance. Gordon was Chairman of the Club Committee from 1993 to 1996 and a keen volunteer at Norman Park.
The funeral will take place on Friday 27th June at 13:45 at the Bluebell Cemetery in Halstead/Knockholt, TN14 7AE, and afterwards at the Beccehamian Rugby Club at Sparrows Den in West Wickham, BR4 9BB.
