The annual Kent Masters Cross Country Championships this year included the Club Vets Championships.

The day started with the mens V50 race over 8k, with success for Doug Varney who ran strongly to finish in 3rd place for a bronze medal! The next race was the M60/M70 which saw a silver medal for Andy Lawes in the M70 category over the shorter 5k course (22.33)! 
 
The third race in the series of 4 was the women’s FV35, FV45 and FV55, also over the shorter course. The FV45 was led from start to finish by Carole Coulon (19.05) who was second in the combined race overall as well!
 
The final race was the M40s and what a performance from the men’s team with a very impressive first place! Leading the team home in the 8k race was new member Mark Bruce (26.44), followed by Micah Evans (26.51), Leon de Bruyn (26.53) in 5/6/7th respectively and Sam Aldridge in 12th (27.39)
