44 of BBHAC young athletes and 3 seniors made the long journey up to Mansfield for this year’s National Cross Country Championships, producing some superb results.
The U17 boys team of Joseph, Jed and Joe combined well to place a fine 2nd for silver (of 92 club teams).
The B team of Nathan, Ben and Oliver were 3rd B team with Hendri completing a strong squad.
The U17 girls finished 27th (of 66 teams) with Naimah leading the team out passing to Cristina who then handed to Lily bringing the A team home on last leg.
The U15 boys had three strong teams racing with the A team placing a high 6th (of 91 teams) James S, Daniel and Kian.
The B team of James B, Johnny and Zacchaeus were 5th B team and the trio of Alex S, Benj and Ricardo were 3rd C team home.
The U15g A team were 11th (of 89 teams) led out by Aoife Mc, with Evie on leg 2 and Sofia bringing the team home on leg 3.
The U13 boys and girls both had two strong team racing. The boys place a fabulous 6th (of 70 teams) with Emery leading the A team out passing to Zach P on 2 and Dexter completing the team on 3. The B team were an impressive 3rd B team led out by Joshua, handing to Luke on 2 and brought home by Zac running a fast last leg.
The girls A team placed 18th (of 70 teams) with Isabella on 1, Arianna T on 2 and Harriet on 3. Our B team were 11th B team home with a strong opening run from Holly, great leg 2 by Olivia K and great final leg by Alice.
The U20 men’s A team were 19th (of 83) made up of Arthur, Alex Mid, Miles and the B team were 11th B team home consisting of Jasper, Harry and Mark.
The U20 girls were 21st (of 47) with a great start from Hannah and strong runs from Libby on leg two and Islay P on leg three.
Olivia MB had a good first leg for the B team.
For completeness our SW were a superb 6th (of 106) made up of
Chloe Sharp on leg 1, Morgan Squibb (racing 10 years after her first Mansfield XC as a U13g) on leg 2 and
Niamh Bridson Hubbard (in her 15th year running for BBHAC, also joining as an U13g) on the last leg.
So good to see.
