10 June 2026 – The weather for Race 2 of this Summer’s series was a bit better than Race 1, as we mostly managed to dodge the showers this time.
A good turnout of 26 runners saw some excellent performances and several very close finishes. It was not close at the front though as first timer Agne Zavistanavice outwitted the handicapper with a win by nearly 2 minutes. Cameron Swatton and Olivia Senbanjo completed a clean sweep of the top three for Petts Wood Runners.
Olivia’s latest PB sees her in the overall lead after two events with Lewis Fishlock and Ian Scott not far behind (see Parris Handicap page for overall rankings).
Fastest male and female runners on the night were Philip Bunn and Liane Evans in 18.51 and 23.49 respectively. The next event in the series will be on Thursday 2nd July.
